Introduction

Brown Ranch presents the residents of Steamboat Springs with an unprecedented opportunity to take control of our housing future and design the community in which we want to live. Brown Ranch is designed by the community, for the community, to maintain and build upon the best part of Steamboat Springs and Routt County – the community itself.

The Community Development Plan for Brown Ranch presents a vision for development of the 534-acre site. It is shaped by the vision and guiding principles created by the Brown Ranch Steering Committee, feedback from extensive community engagement, health equity considerations, and general sustainability and resilience principles.

Process

The Brown Ranch Community Development Plan was approved and adopted by the YVHA Board of Directors on December 15th, 2022.
